Indy debate Midlothian: 16 and 17-year-old voters

Have your say

As part of our ongoing debate on what Independence would mean for Midlothian, readers have submitted questions they would like the answers to before deciding how to vote in September’s referendum.

Today’s question, from Midlothian Youth Platform, is:

“Why can’t 16 and 17 year olds vote in elections but they can in the referendum?”
