Haddington makes debut in beauty competition

Waiting for Video...

The sun shone for the judges on a visit to Haddington which is making its debut in the Beautiful Scotland competition this year.

They were given a tour of the town by council and community representatives including Joe Forte, chairman of Blooming Haddington - a group which was formed after a meeting of local organisations last September.

One stop off point last Thursday was the Bridge Youth and Community Centre where Patrick Gammell, chairman of the Lamp of Lothian Collegiate Trust, told the judges Alison Anderson and Calum Hislop about the history of the Poldrate buildings which the trust restored.

Full story in the East Lothian News - on sale now. See Joe Forte, Chairman of Blooming Haddington, talking about the project on our video.
