An extra £25,000 in funding for projects in East Lothian’s coastal communities has been secured.
East Lothian Council intends to match the cash boost from the Scottish Government European Fisheries Fund with a further £25,000, bringing the total available to £50,000.
There will be grants of up to £10,000 available to improve the quality of life and promote the economy in Cockenzie and Port Seton, Dunbar and North Berwick.
Areas targeted are tourism, young people, leisure, food and drink, innovation, and renewable energy that makes use of local resources. Funding will be allocated by the East Lothian Fisheries Local Action Group (FLAG).
