Repairs to the slip gate at Fisherrow Harbour

Fisherrow Harbour has been receiving some loving care and attention in the run up to the Musselburgh Festival, which started at theweekend.

Harbourmaster Alex Stewart and his team of volunteer helpers from the Fisherrow Berth Holders’ Association have been busy removing litter and weeds to enhance the area’s appearance.

Taking advantage of the recent spell of warm and dry weather, some badly rusted metal work – including the slip gate – has also been given a fresh coat of blue and white paint, in keeping with official festival colours.
