Two sandstone fishermen - one small and fat and the other tall and thin – have been unveiled at the Promenade near Fisherrow Harbour.

The latest addition to Musselburgh’s picturesque seafront, the pair were ‘welcomed’ to the area in a head-wetting ceremony performed by Honest Lad and Lass Gary Neill and Lynsey Souter.

Created by local sculptor Gardner Molloy, the statues will serve as an artistic alternative to bollards – reminding motorists where the road ends and the path begins.
