East Lothian Council

East Lothian Council

Plans to build 81 houses in Dunbar as part of a massive development been approved by East Lothian Council.

On Tuesday, members of the council’s planning committee gave unanimous support to Taylor Wimpey East Scotland’s application to build on land at Hallhill.

Approval for this first phase of detached, semi-detached and terraced types forms part of a scheme for 525 houses to the south-west of the town.

Councillors were reminded that outline plans for the project as a whole had been approved in January 2012 and they were informed that Dunbar Community Council had raised no objections to the 81 houses being proposed.
