Have your say

A council plan designed to give local people in East Lothian a bigger say in their community is set to be phased in by East Lothian Council.

So called Area Partnerships are being set up – starting with Fa’side, which was the first to be formed, holding it’s first official meeting in March.

Preston/Seton/Gosford; North Berwick Coastal; Haddington & Lammermuir; Dunbar & East Linton; and Musselburgh are all to follow suit by the end of June.

The idea behind the partnerships is to give local people more of a say in their community, by holding meetings four times a year and encouraging residents and organisations to get involved with creating an ‘area plan’.

Paolo Vestri, corporate policy and improvement manager for East Lothian Council, explained the focus of an area plan was to decide on what services would work best for each partnership.
