A Dunbar dog owner whose pet savaged several sheep, one of which had to be put down, is to pay compensation.
Faye Cook was walking her terrier off the lead when the dog bolted and cornered several sheep in the corner of a field.
The “aggressive” animal left several of the livestock covered in blood, and one young lamb had to be put down after being attacked by the out-of-control dog.
Following the horrific attack, a vet was forced to attend the Wester Broomhouse farm, in Dunbar, in order to put one lamb out of its misery.
Cook claimed her pet managed to “run away from her” as she took the animal out for an early-morning walk on May 4.
