Developer to be pressed on ‘expansion’ plan

Assurances are being sought about the infrastructure proposed to support a major housing and business development earmarked for Musselburgh.

Persimmon Homes is consulting the community on its vision for “sustainable expansion” of the town on a 150-acre site at Craighall.

The development, on land surrounding Queen Margaret University, was the subject of a public exhibition held in Musselburgh last month.

A second exhibition is now being planned for the end of January, to allow as many people as possible to comment on the broad proposals for the site.
