A North Berwick man was the first to have his car clamped in the town after failing to pay fines for speeding and parking in a non-waiting area.
Other East Lothian residents have been warned to catch up with their payments now or they could risk the same fate.
The motorist found his Audi A8 clamped earlier this month and wound up paying the clamping costs in addition to the original fine to reclaim his vehicle.
Before the enforcement action was taken, he received warning and was given the chance to engage with fines officers.
