Council urged to stop dithering over Musselburgh civic square

East Lothian Council needs to create a civic square in Musselburgh as a matter of urgency, according to the town’s SNP councillors.

They have attacked delays in full implementation of the town centre strategy after the Cabinet was asked on Tuesday to note the results of a consultation exercise.

SNP group leader Stuart Currie said: “Ninety per cent of people who took part in the consultation made it clear that they wanted a town civic square for Musselburgh.
