“Parent power” has saved principal teaching posts at East Lothian primary schools, according to opposition councillors.
East Lothian Council has confirmed that the threat to 47 principal teachers has been lifted and other ways have been found to make savings as part of a management review.
Although all sides have welcomed the staff retention, a bitter row has broken out between Labour and SNP members.
