Plans to develop a new town at Blindwells have been unveiled to the public.
Durham-based Hargreaves Services has presented proposals to build 1,600 homes on the former open-cast mine site between Tranent and Longniddry.
The company held recent public consultations and exhibitions in Port Seton, Longniddry, Prestonpans, Haddington and Tranent, allowing local people to examine its outline plans.
Up to 4,500 homes, a school, recreational space and business units could be built on the 325-acre site, if planning permission is approved.
