Eligible projects within fishing communities in East Lothian can apply for grants up to a maximum of £10,000 – but they’ll need to act fast.
The funding is to improve the quality of life and promote economic diversification in coastal communities. East Lothian coastal communities are: Cockenzie & Port Seton, Dunbar and North Berwick.
Funding will be allocated by the East Lothian Fisheries Local Action Group (FLAG), consisting of representatives from local government, local businesses and local community voluntary groups.
The fund is to support initiatives aimed at adding value to fisheries products and measures to promote economic diversification in areas such as tourism, young people, innovation, leisure, food, drink and renewable energy that make use of local resources.
Expressions of interest in applying for the funding must be received by Monday 31st March and applications must be submitted by 12 noon on Thursday 17th April.
