A bridge afternoon raised about £1,800 for the church restoration fund in Aberlady last week.
There were 24 tables of four players both local and from Edinburgh. Afternoon tea was also served at the event, which was held in the community hall.
A community effort, led by the church and tower fundraising committee, is under way to carry out major repairs to the historic parish church. Parishioners are hoping to raise around £90,000 towards the overall £230,000 cost of repairs to the stonework of the building, which dates back to 1887 and has a 14th century tower. It is hoped the rest of the finance will come in grants from bodies like Heritage lottery, Church of Scotland and Historic Scotland.
