Bloody ‘sport’ has no place in East Lothian

Bloodthirsty groups from the west of Scotland are travelling to East Lothian to practise an illegal ‘sport’ regarded by many people as barbaric.

Parties with dogs are being attracted to the county to carry out hare coursing, with those involved keen to seize the animal’s prized pelts after the hunt.

Haddington and District Community Council heard last week that police had responded to a report of hare coursing on ground at Haddington Golf Club at the end of last month.
