Police Scotland is appealing for information after around £3,000 worth of damage was caused at a farm in East Lothian yesterday.

Approximately 150 bales of straw were set alight at Coulston Farm, which is situated on the Haddington to Bolton Road, sometime between 10am and 10.20am on Monday, September 1.

Inspector Alan Hogarth, who is based at Haddington, said: “The suspicion is that the bales were deliberately set on fire, causing a considerable amount of damage, and we are very keen to trace the person responsible.

“Anyone who saw anything suspicious in or around Coulston Farm on Monday morning or who has any information which may help our investigation is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101 or, alternatively, phone the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
