A Livingston man whose behaviour caused distress to Musselburgh residents has been served with an interim ASBO.
An application by East Lothian Council was granted by Haddington Sheriff Court against 31-year-old Gary Dornan.
The court was presented with details of alleged antisocial behaviour by Mr Dornan within Musselburgh, which included shouting, swearing, verbally and physically abusing or threatening others.
East Lothian Council’s safer communities team worked closely with Police Scotland to compile the dossier of evidence which was used to prepare the case against Mr Dornan.
A spokesman for the council said: “Both the Police and the council’s Safer Communities team attended a property in Musselburgh on a number of occasions in response to neighbour concerns arising from domestic incidents.
“Despite repeated warnings about his behaviour Mr Dornan continued to cause alarm and distress through his actions which has resulted in the application for an ASBO.”
