A visit to the Haddington Farmers’ Market

Waiting for Video...

Haddington Farmers’ Market has become a popular fixture in the East Lothian calendar on the last Saturday of every month.

Court Street becomes a hive of activity with a variety of stalls selling everything from meat, dairy products, fresh scallops, smoked salmon and trout to plants, soap, bread, butter and homemade jams.

The pipes and drums of Haddington Pipe Band add to the community atmosphere and usually there’s an antique and craft fair in the nearby Corn Exchange.

One of the organisers said: “Haddington Farmers’ Market offers the freshest local food and plants to customers every month. Regular visitors know our farmers and producers are delighted to converse, passing on first class advice and tasty tips for delicious recipes.

“It’s lively, friendly atmosphere, good management and support from local shoppers ensure a great social interaction and many shoppers take time to visit Haddington town centre.”

Visit the market from 9am to 1pm.
