Primary school children in Tranent have started a campaign against dog fouling.
P3W pupils at Sanderson’s Wynd Primary School have thought-up various ways to tackle the issue.
Their teacher Lynne Lawrie explained how this came about.
She said: “The school was doing a lot of work on rights and responsibilities and through that we asked children how we could make our world a better place.
“And it came out strongly that they wanted to clean up the dog poo.
“And as we have to do a campaign as part of the curriculum we thought that it would be good to campaign against dog fouling in the area.
“I just hope something comes from it.
“It’s nice to see the children wanting to make a change and do something for their local area.”
