David Leckie.

David Leckie has retired as pipe major of Haddington Pipe Band which he has led for most of its 31 year history.

He will remain a key figure in the band in his new post of senior piper.

Fraser Wilkinson is the new pipe major, with Graham Wells becoming pipe sergeant and Frazer Rankin, drum sergeant. Alastair Bruce took over as chairman at the annual general meeting last week.

The award for ‘Band Member of the Year’ was presented to Liz McDougall while Ben Muir won the ‘Gail Wilkinson Award’ for the most improved young piper. Hannah Green received the ‘Niall Fairgrieve Award’ for the most improved young drummer.
