Tom Logan joins procession
Chairman of the East of Scotland Branch the Royal Scot Association, Tom Logan forms part of the Canadian Scottish Old Guard inspected by Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia Steven L Point OBC.
Tom Logan, chairman of the East of Scotland Branch of the Royal Scots Association, was welcomed by the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia during a recent visit to Canada.
Mr Logan was one of nine members of the association, who travelled to Victoria in Vancouver Island last month for celebrations to mark the 100th anniversary of the Canadian Scottish Regiment (Princess Mary’s).
The Royal Scots, who have been allied to the Canadian Scottish Regiment since 1926, reinforced the alliance with the presentation of a new pipe banner, displaying the badge of the Royal Scots (The Royal Regiment) on one side and the new badge of the Royal Regiment of Scotland on the other. The pipe banner was officially paraded during the regimental ceremonial parade, watched by the public and members of the Royal Scots Association.
Some of the visitors from the association, including Mr Logan, were also asked to fall in with the Canadian Scottish Old Guard, inspected by the Lieutenant Governor, Steven L Point.
