Store plan jobs boost for Wallyford

WALLYFORD Community Council have welcomed the Co-op’s plans to open a new store in the village.

The Co-operative group have submitted plans to East Lothian Council to build a store at Salters Road on the site of the Fa’side Inn.

Janet Bourhill of Wallyford Community Council told the News that this would be a boost to the village and the surrounding area: “That would be a good facility for us. We have just got small shops at the moment in Wallyford. So a Co-op would be welcome. We had one here years ago, it was a popular place to shop.”
