Set for festival in Musselburgh

MUSSELBURGH: Boat shelter on the Promenade at Fisherrow. Community Council launching Musselburgh on the Fringes arts festival

This weekend sees the launch of Musselburgh on the Fringes, the town’s annual community arts festival.

The programme, organised by Musselburgh and Inveresk Community Council, kicks off with the free Harbour Showcase event on Sunday.

Visitors and local residents are invited along to Fisherrow Harbour from 2pm to 4pm to enjoy a varied programme, featuring pipes and drums, rock, folk and choral music.

The Brunton Theatre is the venue for the showcase of local talent on Wednesday, August 22 at 7.30pm, with a line-up including the Reel Fiddlers, Delta, Mansfield School of Music, Clark Community Choir and Mike Paterson.
