Directors to be selected to lead new Haddington Community Development Trust
The seven directors who will lead the new Haddington Community Development Trust will be selected at a public meeting to be held in the town’s Corn Exchange, on Monday evening (February 25) at 7pm.
The trust is being established to take forward proposals for the regeneration of Haddington town centre, developed last year by the Haddington Vision Group in consultation with the local community.
Local residents interested in becoming members of the new Trust are invited to come along to the public meeting, where they can join on the night by completing a membership application and paying a £1 registration fee. On joining, they will also be able to vote for the new directors. Fourteen applications have been received for the seven places on offer.

Also has significant political experience, having been the Chief Executive of the Scottish Liberal Democrats for 5 years.

I can help develop the fundraising strategy; ensure that HCDT has a strong, convincing ‘case for support’, provide training for other members and directors and, if required, meet potential donors and negotiate financial support. I have already proposed a number of ideas during the consultation phase for Haddington Vision and would like to develop these further.”
