School showcases family involvement in Musselburgh

An innovative range of parent involvement projects has earned national recognition for a Musselburgh primary school.

Burgh Primary School was recently chosen as the launch venue for the Scottish Government’s “School Handbook Guidance,” highlighting its successful work with parents.

East Lothian Council’s Cabinet Member for Education and Children’s Services, Shamin Akhtar, said: “Over the past five years, since parent councils have been established at schools, Musselburgh Burgh Primary has embraced consultation and parental involvement to great success in a number of areas.”
