A West Barns care worker is the first in her company to use a a new moped scheme to make her daily visits to clients in the Dunbar area.

Claire Thorburn (38), who works for Independent Living Services (ILS Scotland Ltd) - the community-based ‘care at home’ company - is part of its initiative which enables non-driving members of staff to travel to their destinations quicker and easier.

She said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be part of the company’s new moped scheme. It’s already making a big difference to my daily working life as it means I can now reach clients who live further away but also fit even more people into my day.”
