Police hit the streets of Ormiston

Lothian and Borders Police and East Lothian Council are holding a special street surgery in Ormiston to engage with the community.

Local officers and council antisocial behaviour officers will be out and about in the town’s Main Street area between 1pm and 3pm on Sunday to speak to members of the public.

As part of the Force’s Community Commitment pledge, Lothian and Borders Police aims to provide a visible and recognisable presence across the Lothians, Edinburgh and the Scottish Borders.

Residents of Ormiston are invited to come along and get to know their community policing team and local authority representatives and can help shape police and council priorities for the area.

Police will also offer crime prevention advice and use the surgeries as an opportunity to discuss any issues or concerns the community may have.
