Peace to be promoted to pupils in Musselburgh

The father of an IRA bomb victim will visit Musselburgh and Dunbar next month in his own only Scottish appearance to mark the 20th anniversary of his son’s murder.

Colin Parry OBE lost his 12-year-old son Tim in the bomb blast in Warrington town centre in 1993, which also claimed the life of three-year-old Johnathan Ball and injured many others.

He and his wife Wendy have dedicated their lives to the work of the charitable organisation the Tim Parry/Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace.

At the invitation of Jonathan Hewat, Director of External Affairs at Loretto School, Musselburgh, Mr Parry will visit Loretto, Musselburgh Grammar School and Belhaven Hill School in Dunbar on Friday, February 1.
