The cast of Puss in Boots, including 24 young performers from across East Lothian, are being put through their paces in preparation for the opening of the Brunton Theatre pantomime.

With the curtain set to rise at the Musselburgh venue next week, rehearsals for the show are well underway.

More than 100 young people from across the county auditioned in August to take part, with 24 youngsters shortlisted.

The children are performing alongside a professional cast of actors including Tranent funnyman Scott Glynn, Stephen Docherty as Dame Doris Dimple, Isabella Jarrett, Gavin Paul, Kim Shepherd, Ross Allan and Tom Freeman.
