Nursery staff efforts praised
A RECENT inspection of Musselburgh Private Nursery found “confident and friendly children” who were enjoying their nursery experience.
HM Inspectors also commented on the effective teamwork of staff at the Bridge Street premises, the effective use of the local community and parental involvement to enhance learning experiences and the commitment of the owner, management team and staff to continually improve children’s experiences.
In a letter to parents and carers, Managing Inspector Juliet Colquhoun said the team was satisfied with the overall provision and would be making no further visits in connection with the inspection. We are confident that the pre-school centre’s self-evaluation processes are leading to improvements,” she said.
Staff and the education authority have agreed, following discussions with the inspectors, to continue to improve children’s learning by developing the curriculum further, in line with national guidance.
