North Berwick association set for annual meeting

A positive year has been reported by North Berwick Business Association which had doubled its membership.

The group is looking forward to holding its annual general meeting at the East Lothian Yacht Club on Monday, March 4 at 6pm.

A range of marketing activity has been undertaken to increase spend in the town including leafleting, online activity, targeted advertising, strategic sponsorship at local events as well as promotional activity.

Chairman Yvonne Souness said: “2012 was a very positive year for the group as we doubled our membership, launched our new website, enewsletters and Facebook page, and our first photography competition. We aim to collaboratively build on this success in 2013 with a focus on maximising the number of local people and holidaymakers using the shops, local amenities and attractions.

“We welcome all members, and potential members, to attend the AGM and have their say on how we can make this happen in 2013.”

Secretary William Vernon added: “Any North Berwick business can join the group. This gives each member a range of platforms to promote their business. For anyone who is potentially interested in joining the group, the AGM would be a great place to start.”

Nibbles and drinks will be provided.
