New Dunbar rail services welcomed

East Lothian Council has welcomed First ScotRail’s new Saturday Dunbar-Edinburgh services which begin on December 15. These complement existing East Coast and CrossCountry services to and from the town. First ScotRail services also stop at Musselburgh.

The council’s transport spokesman Councillor Michael Veitch said: “I welcome the new train services especially at this time of the year when more frequent and accessible public transport means that people have more choice when making plans to travel and socialize, with the added benefit that they can leave their cars at home.”

Times on Saturdays are Edinburgh Waverley: 10:08, 12:08, 14:08 and 16:08, returning from Dunbar: 11:04, 13:04, 15:04, and 7:07.
