Musselburgh to celebrate seafaring heritage

Musselburgh is ready to celebrate its seafaring heritage as the newest member of the Scottish Coastal Rowing Project.
Local residents, young and old, are being urged to get on board for the launch of the Eskmuthe Rowing Club.
The founders of the club - Alan Hay, Ronnie Elliott, Quintin Pink and Graham Bennett - are also looking for the community’s help in raising the £3,000 needed to buy and build their first boat.
The Scottish Coastal Rowing Association was formed in 2010 to promote rowing and racing around the Scottish coastline and lochs.
Communities are encouraged to become involved in the building of skiffs to be rowed, before becoming involved in using the sea for fitness, friendship, and competition.
