A newly-qualified speech and language therapist from Musselburgh has been recognised for her contribution to her profession.

Along with fellow graduate from Queen Margaret University, Caitlin McCron won the Innovation category at the Giving Voice awards ceremony held in London by the Royal College of Speech and Language.

The annual awards highlight the life-changing work of speech and language therapists and celebrate creativity and commitment to the profession.

Caitlin received the award with her former speech and language therapy students, Lydia Butler, Anna Guthrie and Catrin Williams.

While studying at the Craighall Campus, they created a communication-centred version of the music video “Call me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepsen.
