Musselburgh pupils court success

Pupils from Loretto Junior School, Musselburgh, who won a mock court case competition for schools throughout Scotland.

Legal eaglets from Loretto Junior School in Musselburgh have won the prestigious School Mock Court Case competition with an impressive display of debating skills.

The Year Six class from the Nippers triumphed against strong opposition from primary schools throughout Scotland’s central belt.

The event culminated in a nail-biting final against a Year Seven team from George Watson’s College , contested at Central Halls in Edinburgh recently.

Regularly featured on both the BBC and ITV, the School Mock Court Case was started in 2010 to help more youngsters understand the law.
