Muir inspires Dunbar civic week’s new logo

New Dunbar Civic Week logo.

A new logo has been produced to promote Dunbar Civic Week which will take place from June 14 to 23.

The idea for the design by Eden Blair came from the town’s nickname ‘Sunny Dunny’ and a quote found from the Dunbar-born conservationist John Muir “The sun shines not on us but within us.”

Local graphic designer Sam Miller gave her time free-of-charge to bring the concept to life.

Sue Anderson, civic week co-ordinator, said “Civic Week is about celebrating our community – our history, our talents, our people and I love the way the John Muir quote gets you thinking about the potential within all of us to make our community the best it can be.”
