Generation Science at Innerwick Primary School.

Schoolchildren at Innerwick found out about recycling and their environment when time traveller Alu and her companion visited them as part of the Generation Science tour last week.

The primary pupils got the chance to explore the changes which could be made to protect the earth’s resources and discovered a fictional future where over-consumption and bad waste management have led to the end of stocks of oil, metals and wood.

The ‘Future Earth’ show, donated by EDF Energy, also looked at what life might be like without these important resources and the extent to which they were renewable or would simply run out.

The science show and workshop were delivered by the Edinburgh International Science Festival.
