Haddington band’s calendar is worldwide hit

Haddington Pipe Band’s 2013 calendar - which features a series of photos on the theme of local customs, traditions and folklore - is taking tales and images of East Lothian around the globe.

Many calendars have been sent out to destinations such as South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and Canada, as well as to European countries such as Italy, Spain, Germany and France.

More unusual destinations for the calendar, however, have included India, Vietnam, Japan, Qatar, Georgia, Malawi and Bermuda.

“We think it’s really great that the calendar is spreading the word not just about the band but about East Lothian,” said Haddington Pipe Band’s chairman, Alastair Bruce.
