For the love of Musselburgh youngster Jordan
Loretto RC Primay School, Newbigging, fundraising football fun day in memory of former pupil Jordan Houston who died aged 11, his mum Chloe with brother Sean, sister Nia, grandad Stephen Howatson & head teacher Anne Burke.
The family of a Musselburgh schoolboy who lost his life to cancer have vowed to help other parents going through similar heartache.
More than £7,000 has already been raised in memory of “football mad” Jordan Houston to the ease the financial pressure on families caring for a child with cancer.
Brave Jordan – a member of Musselburgh Windsor FC – was only 11 years old and preparing for the transition from Loretto RC Primary to St David’s High School when he succumbed to a brain tumour on July 31, 2011.
Last Friday, his mum Chloe teamed up with staff and pupils at Loretto to hold a fundraising football fun day in aid of the Jordan Houston Trust.
Chloe, who set up the trust with help of Jordan’s step-dad Chris Napier, told the News: “Having lived through Jordan’s illness we know how difficult it is.”
Anyone who would like to support the family in their fundraising can donate directly by visiting their website at www.jordanhoustontrust.org
Chloe and Chris would also like to hear from anyone interested in organising a sponsored event or fundraiser in aid of the trust.
