Art exhibition at SOC.

An artist who has flown with birds is one of the exhibitors at a new display at Waterston House, the HQ of the Scottish Ornithologists’ Club at Aberlady.

After years of observing her feathered friends, Fran Knowles decided to join them – by taking up hang gliding.

Twenty years on she now flies sailplanes and has flown with swifts to eagles, winning the British Women’s Hang Gliding League Championship in 1990 and twice representing Great Britain.

Ms Knowles, who lives in Moray, will exhibit her work from Saturday, March 2, until Wednesday, April 10, along with artists John Busby and Sonas Maclean.
