A PUPIL from Preston Lodge High School in Prestonpans is cooking her way to success in the Rotary Young Chef Competition.

Emma Sturrock turned up the heat on the competition from Beeslack Community High School, Penicuik, Eyemouth High and Knox Academy in Haddington to win the area final at Preston Lodge.

She had got through after coming out tops in the Preston Lodge heat of the contest which was sponsored by Longniddry and District Rotary Club and judged by former Professional Masterchef winner Derek Johnstone of Greywalls Hotel, Gullane.
