Easy Lothian village full of colour
Gardeners in Cockenzie and Port Seton have shown they are up to the challenge, in the face of unseasonable summer weather.
Members of the local In Bloom group found the villages to be ablaze with colour during the judging of the annual gardening competition earlier this month.
The winners will be presented with their prizes in Port Seton Community Centre on Friday, October 5 when Cockenzie and Port Seton In Bloom holds its annual awards ceremony.
The results of the competition were as follows: Best Garden - 1, Mr and Mrs J Dawkins, 4 Kay Gardens; 2, Mr and Mrs T Coyle, 35 Seton View; 3, Mr and Mrs D Gilligan, 109 North Seton Park.
Best Small Garden - 1, Mr and Mrs W Anderson, 42 Thomson Crescent; 2, Mr and Mrs N Millar, 48 Fishers Road, 3, Mr and Mrs D Farquhar, 20 East Lorimer Place.
