Council tax bills will be frozen at the current level for the sixth year in a row, with the Band D council tax for 2013/14 remaining at £1,117.62.

Fears were raised about capital projects including refurbishment of the Abbey Care Home in North Berwick, a new day care centre for Haddington and investment in Prestongrange Museum at Prestonpans which were listed as “under consideration for future years.” A total of £150,000 for a sports hall at Port Seton has been included in 2015/16 but SNP councillors later said it had “effectively been binned.”
