East Lothian MP Fiona O’Donnell put in a shift at the Barnardo’s charity shop in Musselburgh recently to support a national campaign to encourage volunteering.

Ms O’Donnell went along to the High Street shop to support Make a Difference Day, which is organised annually by CSV (Community Service Volunteers) to promote the importance of volunteering. As the UK’s biggest day of volunteering, it provides opportunities for thousands of people to volunteer every year in activities across the country.

Speaking after her stint at Barnardo’s, Fiona O’Donnell MP said: “I was pleased to help promote Make a Difference Day by supporting the excellent work that Barnardo’s does with children and young people.”
