East Lothian Council mourns former colleague
Staff and elected members of East Lothian Council have been shocked and saddened by the death of former colleague Louis Isbrand, only weeks after he retired.
Best known for his work at the Red School Youth Centre, tributes have been paid to his success in inspiring and supporting generations of young people in the Prestonpans area.
A former member of the council’s community learning and development services team, Louis retired at the end of August after more than 36 years’ service to Lothian Regional Council and East Lothian Council.
He was 60 when he died suddenly on Monday, September 24.
A graduate of Moray House College of Education, Louis was in the process of planning a charity concert at the Royal Musselburgh Golf Club later this month, which will now be a celebration of his life and work.
Proceeds from the event will be used to support activities for children and young people, who attend the Red School Youth Centre, where he spent the last 28 years of his career.
