The team behind Dunbar’s community bakery found themselves on a roll last week as they reached the final of a national competition.

The Bakery in Dunbar, and Falko Konditormeister in Gullane, were among a number of independent bakeries selected to represent Scotland in the regional final of ITV’s Britain’s Best Bakery competition.

As the winner of the regional contest, the Dunbar team went on to the national finals, winning through a series of challenges, screened daily on ITV last week.

The Bakery was delighted to make it to Friday’s final, before eventually losing out to Hambleton Bakery, based in Exton.
