“Customer Rules” is the message to businesses as East Lothian counts down to this year’s Open Championship at Muirfield.

East Lothian Council’s Economic Development team secured Gene Columbus of the Walt Disney Corporation, as the keynote speaker at its customer services conference last week.

More than 150 delegates from the county’s retail, tourism and hospitality sectors gathered at The Brunton in Musselburgh to share Gene’s experiences and advice on how to provide world-class customer service.

Gene has spent 38 years in leadership roles with Disney, including more than two decades interviewing, evaluating and coaching as well as mentoring thousands of entertainment professionals.
