Celebrations as Prestonpans renews Fairtrade status

Prestonpans has achieved renewed status as a Fairtrade town, sparking a double celebration for local supporters.

The Fairtrade Foundation, the accrediting body behind the coveted award, commended the Prestonpans Fairtrade Town Steering Group on its efforts to encourage ethical consumerism in the town.

In particular, the foundation was impressed with its ongoing partnership with Preston Lodge High School, which carried out a Fairtrade audit of local organisations on the group’s behalf.
