Board closes Musselburgh pub

A Musselburgh pub has had its licence suspended for a week following public safety concerns over the past year.

Police alerted East Lothian Licensing Board to a catalogue of incidents at the Auld Brig Tavern.

The Eskside West premises, where a new tenant who took over on Monday, were the subject of a licence review hearing last Thursday.

Inspector Simon Broadhurst commented: “There has been a huge concern from the police regarding what has been a blatant disregard of some of the advice and some of the responsibility from the current personal licence holders who are involved in the public house.”
